After reading his mini confession I thought of this. If his whole family was in danger of being deported if Mollie called the cops, then he might well have panicked. It sounds like he killed her just as she threatened to call the cops. If so, then his motive was not to sexually assault her. does not excuse him, just a thought about motive. His intent when stalking her may have been sexual, but his fear of being discovered and deported triggered panic. I don't know, somehow it seems to me a crazy kind of comfort that she might not have been sexually assaulted, but killed on the spot. If she were my daughter I would take that as something I could survive.
