I made a sugar free, low carb pecan pie not too long ago, that tasted just like the real deal. Used isomalt, erythritol, and splenda in the filling -— almost zero carbs, and you can make corn syrup substitute with the isomalt, that’s as ooey gooey as the real thing. Low carb crust,too.
But I’m not a pecan pie -— I’m not THAT nutty, yet. I’m a cherry pie -— sweet and tart, at the same time! ;)

You’ll be able to pet him more and more as time goes on. The ice is broken and he now knows it felt pretty nice to be petted. If you can scratch his back at the base of his tail for a few seconds, it’s over. LOL! That a magic spot.

I’m not getting my hopes up a lot regarding Moogly. Not seeing much improvement since last week other than she’s not vomiting like she did that day. We’ll see what the blood test shows and go from there.

Well, I hope she’ll be ok. She does sound like she’s in serious discomfort. Poor baby.

I figure we’ll just pick them up from the food dish one at a time and give them the shots. Guess we’ll see what happens. She’s great with animals though, so they’ll probably like her.

Hey, we’ve got ‘em here, too, though not in the numbers as there. And lessons are learned here. Going along with the nutcases had a lot to do with the Gatlinburg fire being so bad. But since then they’ve done a lot of controlled burns to clear out the “fire fodder” lying around.

Yeah, pancreatitis isn’t fun. The hope is that the kidney numbers being high is just a secondary issue due to the pancreas trouble and not the kidneys conking out. Just have to see what tomorrow brings.

I hope it goes smoothly with the shots. If they have their faces in the food maybe they won’t see each one being picked up. Don’t want them scooting off! LOL

My mom used to make an awesome butterscotch meringue pie. I should try it with whipped cream on top instead. Love butterscotch!
