That canon says that the increase of grace in return for good works is truly assured through the merits of Christ.

The increase of grace in return for good works is wages due for our deeds performed.

THAT is works based salvation.

“That canon says that the increase of grace in return for good works is truly assured through the merits of Christ.”

The Scriptures never say anything like that - anywhere.

They say the opposite.

Why do you listen to the words of men and not the Word of God.

“That canon says that the increase of grace in return for good works is truly assured through the merits of Christ.”

Selling Indulgences was based on this false foundation of a treasury of merit.

When Luther and others pointed out this falsehood to Rome,
Catholicism chose money and paganism over Christ and grace.

True believers - the redeemed - left to follow Christ.

They were hunted and slaughtered by popes and false religion for following Christ.

And here you are, singing the same old falsehood.
