Cardinal Raymond Burke has called for open recognition of the Catholic churchs homosexual culture in light of recent revelations of sexual abuse. I believe that there needs to be an open recognition that we have a very grave problem of a homosexual culture in the Church, Burke said in an interview Thursday, especially among the clergy and the hierarchy, that needs to be addressed honestly and efficaciously.
he former head of the churchs equivalent of the Supreme Court said it was already clear after the studies following the 2002 sexual abuse crisis that most of the acts of abuse were in fact homosexual acts committed with adolescent young men.
There was a studied attempt to either overlook or to deny this, he said, referring to the mainstream media cover-up of the homosexual nature of the abuse as well as such denial within the church itself.

It amazes me that Rome can even PERVERT Grace and make it not Grace, by portraying it as "drawn to you by sacraments."
They make Christianity into paganism.
They make Grace into something you don't receive, but do something to get.
They make the simplicity of Christ, into a religion.
Didn't learn anything from the Orthodox split, nor the reformation, nor the rapid loss South America.
Nor do they see the absolute corruption of their leadership.
Catholicism is ‘another religion’ ... Paul had much to say about these ‘other religions’. But a Catholic mind cannot see them. Truth is a bitter pill for the Catholiciism steep mind, because awakening to how unchristian their religion is becomes too much to accept when they see their works and striving to obtain has all been and will be accounted as filthy rags. [That IS Biblical, btw.] Even Jesus warned ‘depart from me, I never knew you, when they toss up their great works done in his name but for their pride.
No truer words.....
My interest is in accurately representing how the Roman Catholic church has abandoned the truth of the Biblical gospel of salvation by grace through faith for the accursed gospel of a salvation by works. You may say it teaches salvation by grace, but I know that is not really true.
Additionally, Roman Catholicism condemns as heretics those who leave the church (like me) and who will not accept everything she declares as doctrine. So, my desire is to demonstrate from Holy Scripture that God's word is the authority ABOVE the RCC. If someone here comes to realize that truth and choses to follow Jesus Christ rather than a religion, then that is to the glory of God.

Wow! Good word picture.
Thank you
You might want to do some homework on this topic. V2 was a huge change for the group that claims they never change.
I've been thinking about this for the last few nights and I wanted to say that you and I probably do agree on most of the major doctrines of the Christian faith. One primary point where we disagree, you know, is on the doctrine of justification. I believe that I am saved and made righteous through faith in Jesus Christ and this is because of the grace and mercy of Almighty God. I live and walk by faith and I know that my manner of life is one where the Holy Spirit is working within me conforming me to the image of Christ. If I mess up and sin, I almost immediately confess it to the Lord, tell Him I am sorry, determine with His help to not do so again and then I accept the forgiveness He said He is faithful and just to grant me. I can see how much God has changed me spiritually over the years and my faith grows stronger through every trial. My manner of life is an outgrowth of my faith, my works demonstrate to others that my faith is genuine - though God alone sees my heart. I know that my works are NOT what saves me and that it is solely by the grace of God through faith alone. I believe that to make salvation dependent on our works negates grace. If we could be justified by our works, then Christ died in vain.
My question to you then is, if I live in faith and obedience to God in a way that brings glory to Him and I rejoice in my salvation that is not dependent on my good works, how is that different than if I did depend upon my faith and works to save me? What would be the difference? I have both faith and good works either way.
Now, just to clarify, I happen to believe that it is not a true faith to rely upon my good works to save me. Instead, it is ALL the work of Jesus Christ and I cannot merit or ever deserve the gift of God which is eternal life.
All Holy Orders are sacraments of God indeed.
Except he doesn't
John 6 teaches that the Sacrament of the Eucharist is necessary for salvation.
Ephesians 2:10 shows that good works are necessary to be saved by grace.
Can you adopt a serious tone? If you have a question, I’ll answer.
All Holy Orders are sacraments of God indeed.
Holy Orders....another Roman Catholic term.
God has, can, and still does, call men into His service.
Did I ask for your opinion?
No....it teaches that faith in Christ is necessary for salvation....if you read the chapter in context.
Ephesians 2:10 shows that good works are necessary to be saved by grace.
Context....annalex....context.
8For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;
9not as a result of works,
so that no one may boast.
10For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them. Ephesians 2:8-10 NASB
Roman Catholics should not be commenting on the meaning of Scriptures....unless Rome has dogmatically ruled on the meaning of the text.
I didn't say "merit", I said "invite". While grace is not of works, and cannot be demanded in exchange for works, it arrives to those who ask; good works is our way to ask for grace.
You do know this is an open forum.....right??
Roman Catholics sure are a grumpy group of people.
Of course. How would you like to be treated? You will be welcome back, by the way, all you need is a confession.
dude....just stop.
You're demonstrating a complete lack of knowledge of how to interpret Scripture.
