The Senate confirmed two more appeals court judges Thursday, continuing to make progress on President Trump’s goal of revamping the federal judiciary after a maverick Republican dropped his blockade.
Sen. Jeff Flake earlier this summer had halted progress on judges, staging a protest over Mr. Trump’s trade policies.
But after getting the chance to vote on a non-binding statement of pushback against Mr. Trump, the Arizona Republican relented last month and the GOP was able to clear more judges through the committee pipeline, readying them for floor votes.
The latest two to earn full Senate approval were Marvin Quattlebaum and Julius Richardson, both of whom will sit on the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. Judge Quattlebaum was confirmed 62-28, while Mr. Richardson was cleared by 81-8.

Hmm.. Richardson is a loser. Mark this in stone ANY nominee who gets any more then a few Rat votes is a bad pick.

God I hate that guy.
If you go by ratings. The ACU (American Conservative Union) gave Flake a 92% Conservative rating in 2017 (lifetime of 93%), despite all his antics and mouthing off publicly.
Marfa McQueeg, by comparison, has only a 71.73% lifetime Conservative rating. That’s an even LOWER rating than her mentor Cap’n McQueeg’s lifetime rating of 81% (!)
Kelli Ward’s ACU rating in the AZ legislature was a 98% lifetime.
That’s 26 out of 179 total seats. So 15% of the Circuit Courts are now Trump appointees.
OK — what’s wrong with Richardson? Too many Democrat votes.

Think you've got him mixed up...He was confirmed with only 8 demoncrat votes...It's Quattlebaum who got 28 demoncrat votes...

ACU and other ratings can be miss-leading, especially when they only include 20 or so - usually final - votes, as he may vote against or delay a bunch of budgets or resolutions that would have otherwise been more conservative than the final bill. A lot of conservative ratings tend to rank more on chamber of commerce POV rather than mainstream american conservative as well.
Everyone seems to think the Democrat winning that race is a done deal. That's like the one seat Democrats feel assured of a pickup.
