There ya go. Through perfect solution, and probably perfectly legal.

What is the written law that authorizes past employees to keep security clearances forever? Is it written or simply tradition?

For ordinary people, your security clearance is based on a need to know. In other words, even if you have a very high security clearance with the associated investigations and perhaps even a polygraph test, once you no longer need that clearance for your job, it is suspended. A suspended clearance is quickly reinstated if the government decides that you should have it, but it’s not a right.

By tradition, cabinet officers, senior general officers, and senior intelligence officials have been allowed to keep their clearance as a courtesy with the understanding that they will continue to protect our nations highest secrets. Someone who is openly working to overthrow the President of the United States and nullify an election should not keep a security clearance.
