Since the threat of terrorist attacks is just “’part and parcel’ of living in a major city” - according to London’s lovely mayor SaDICK Khan - why is this being covered in the newspapers at all?

For the umpteenth time, that's a misquote. What he actually said was 'vigilance about the risk of terrorism is part and parcel of living in a great city, and we must support the police in any way we can'. The misquote originated in the British Tory press (who hate Khan for political reasons rather than because he's a Muslim), and has been repeated unquestioningly so many times that he's permanently saddled with it.

Agreed. It was just a traffic accident.
