A lawyer for Arizona candidate for U.S. Senate Martha McSally threatened to pursue legal remedies against cable television stations running a statewide ad supporting competing Senate candidate Dr. Kelli Ward, but station managers refused to pull the ad.
The Kelli PAC television ad criticizes Rep. McSallys statements against then-candidate Donald Trumps immigration and border plans and her low House voting record score from conservative group Freedom Works.

It certainly seems like somebody has a hold on Arpaio thats a lot more powerful than any other influence.
Who could Joe owe? McSally doesn’t do much for Ward’s enemies.
He owes Trump for the pardon, he should ask Joe to step down and endorse Ward. ( I thought that was obvious enough I didn’t have to spell it out for the people here at the FreeRepublic)
That lawyer needs to be sued for making clearly false legal threats that caused harm to the Ward campaign.
“I would suggest that Sheriff Joe is paying off a very large political debt.”
To whom????
McSally sounds more like a Democrat/Lib: apparently she wants to shut down and prevent negative information and opposite ideas rather than debate/address the information. Reminds me of collage campuses and Dem politicians.
I bet it is coming from the Bushes. They are going to be pulling political strings for a long time to come.

Nice ad.
Doesn't bother me at all. The GOPe are worse than democrats and if MAGA candidates expose their duplicity I'm all for it.
The ad, in which McSally comments that she doesnt support him, never names Trump. Are you sure her comments were actually referencing Trump? I would also like to state that McSallys record on supporting Trump is north of 90%. Very good is not the enemy of perfect. I am NOT a RINO, but think McSally can beat the faux Republican who is really a Democrat, Sinema. So, please, whoever wins the Republican Primary, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE vote for her (Ward or McSally) in the November election. Ohio just demonstrated how easy it is for Republicans to come too close to losing a seat, when they dont bother to vote. Flame away................
PS- Ward ran against McCain in his last Senate Primary and LOST to him. What makes you all think that she could pull in enough Independents in win in November? Arizona is much less red than it used to be.....too many illegals voting in a state that you do have to show ID to vote. And Sinema has been running ads since April, yet never saying that she is a Democrat. She has a large following in this state......her record of supporting Trump, in the House, is 60%. That needs to be hammered home, whoever wins the R Primary.
You might be right. I can’t believe the self-centered power-driven Bushes. They had me fooled for a long time.
I was fooled by them for a long time. Their Clinton ties coming to light changed all that.
Arpaio is running out of time to withdraw. Suspect ballots already printed. Primary on 28th. i love the guy, but its dog track time for Sheriff Joe...
Federal law prohibits any radio or TV station from editing or refusing an ad from a federal candidate — if the station is also running ads from other candidates in the race.
This was upheld by a 1974 SCOTUS decision which specifically allowed Georgia Lt. Gov. candidate J.B. Stoner to say, “You can’t have law and order and n-——s, too,” in a TV commercial. Look it up!
In 1980, a third-party presidential candidate used the word “bullsh*t” in a national ad on the NBC radio network. Many stations aired a warning before the broadcast, advising listeners to turn off their radios for five minutes if they would be offended by a “barnyard epithet.”
Arizona has retired people from all over the country.
Most are not stupid.
The McCain Machine is well entrenched here and knows how to play this game.
Same as Linda...when it comes election time, McCain and his stooges do a head fake to the right.
After the election, they go back to working for the RATS.
