U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz has asked President Donald Trump to come to Texas to campaign for him.
During a campaign stop in Seguin late Monday, Cruz said he has reached out to his former rival for the White House to help him with his re-election effort against Democrat Beto O’Rourke.
“I would certainly welcome his support and I hope to see him in Texas,” Cruz said, standing outside the Dixie Grill in Seguin. “I think we are likely to see the president down in Texas before the election.”
Cruz said while his relationship with Trump has had its “ups and downs” due to their 2016 GOP primary battle, he has tried to become an ally to the President. He said he has been in constant contact with the White House and Trump directly to offer his help in getting legislation through the Senate.

Ted, like a ton of us, didn’t trust Trump. Trump and his followers have been right and proven us wrong. Accept our humble apology and move on. please.

Also look up the primary turnout earlier this year. Cruz got more votes than all democrats combined.

lets remember it was a extremely vicious primary season was for all running with 17 initial candidates for president .
we need to come together as a party. we have to remember that in 2024 we will need a viable candidate that wont throw away everything Trump has done. I remember how Bush senior ran off of Reagans legacy then betrayed it in his term as president...while I don’t think that Cruz will ever be buddy buddy with Trump he will not betray trump politicly and is one of a few republicans I see as trumps replacement when his two terms of office come to a end. We need to be thinking and planning now because if the democrats are not kept out of the white house we are in trouble because the party no longer even pretends to fallow the rule of law.
I didn’t like when Ted Cruz attacked Trump after the Access Hollywood video leak, which was late in the campaign.
you are a joke. Cruz has been suspicious of Trump like all of us should have been based on his history. Thank GOD, Trump and God has proven our suspicions to be unwarranted. I am ecstatic that I was wrong. I really hope my initial views will continue to be wrong.
I didn’t like the access hollyweird video, but i still voted for him, and I told a ton of people I hated it, but I thought it was dirty politics and I wasn’t voting for a priest.
Love him or hate him we need every Senate seat we can get. The left is throwing everything they have at Ted. Trump would be wise to support him ( and so should we)

If I was in Texas, I would surely vote for Cruz, but I did NOT like the way he treated President Trump after the nomination...It was, in my opinion, juvenile...

Trump knows this is the closest to a friend that he’ll get in Washington. We desperately need every seat in the Senate and if Beto wins it will be a harbinger of terrible results nationally.
I don’t know. If someone’s in pretty good shape, lock them in. Then go help the long shots like New Jersey and Connecticut Senate. Fight every step of the way. No reason to hold back. Maximum effort to achieve maximum results
