Yes - someone with the identical name ran against the incumbent Republican in a Republican primary. Hence, why the incumbent’s name was listed as “Rep. Ron Estes.”

So the Estes situation reminds me of a story about how the Kennedy Clan got JFK’s career jump-started in a primary election. They found some schmoe with the same name as the incumbent and got him on the ballot, with no text to let the voter know which guy was which.
