I checked with Dave Leip’s elections site... no moral victory, there were 587,524 votes cast in Franklin County (the Dem hope) in 2016 (60-34% Hillary)... look at the count tonight, just a little over 71,000. Minuscule turnout thru the entire district.

Only a portion of Franklin county is in this district. The turnout was huge for a special election. The dems are energized in a district that has been republican for decades except for 2 years in the early 80s.

Apple’s and oranges. This district just includes a small part of Frankilin county. And the turnout was far heavier there than in the rural Trump counties even with the rally

587,524 to 71,000 is amazing! Both sides were apathetic on an important election.

It would be great if everyone would reverse the red and blue. Of course, Alexandria OC would probably in favor of that.
