In a new wide-ranging magazine interview, Meghan McCain offered details of her relationship with her father, U.S. Sen. John McCain, and how she has coped in the year since his father's brain cancer diagnosis.
McCain, a political commentator and co-host of ABC's "The View,' has used her perch to take on President Donald Trump for his repeated attacks on her father, as well his policies and rhetoric.
She told Glamour magazine the devastating diagnosis has caused her to approach life as her father did: unafraid.
"My father is the sun in my universe,' McCain, 33, told the magazine. "He's the absolute center.'
His daughter cannot imagine a world without him, she told Glamour.
"He's the last person who needs to be sick now because I so need him here, fighting for all the things that we believe in,' she says. "I'm scared of America without him.'

Eh. Let’s cut her some slack. This is a daughter who loves her father talking about how much she respects and admires him. We all don’t agree but let a daughter express her love for her father.
OMG! Thank you for posting this because some of it I never knew about. Wow that man makes Benedict Arnold look like a patriot. God will take care of him. Can’t wait until he passes away. It would be something if Papa Bush & Songbird McCain passes away on the same day.

McCain was like one out of five or so spoiled brat General’s/Admiral’s kids. I grew up with five of them in 57-60. Four were like most others their age just trying to be good baseball players in little league and Babe Ruth. Only four were boy scouts with me, and; I am certain the father of the non scout, a BG (one star) was not happy. I say that as West Point looks at scouting seriously. That one was like McCain. He was the typical-My dad is this. McCain was the punk snot nose kid who used his father’s position from grade school to this day. Megan McCain is like her punk father was growing up plus still is. Had any other officer wrecked as many planes as McCain and George Bush did-they’d have been discharged fast.
Ef John McStain AND his progeny. This country will be better off all the way around when this traitor hits the dirt. Can’t happen soon enough for me. Honestly, I think he’s being propped up ala “Weekend at Bernie’s” style. No way can he be “tweeting” like he does but not be able to make it to Washington. Haven’t we been doing without sellout Juan McLame for almost a year now? Jobs, the economy, foreign policy, the crackdown on illegal immigrants and other things seem to be doing fine without his corrupt self.

True statement.
However, his actions after he proved himself to be brave have been cowardly. He was careless and caused the deaths of over one hundred sailors.
His record in the Senate has proven him a coward by not seeking and exposing the truth about POWs left in Vietnam to die. The fact that he was on a committee with traitor John Kerry that swept the truth under the rug is appalling. His campaign against Obama was a joke and he was a gutless candidate.
I do not wish any man dead but I will not mourn John McCain’s death.
I just wonder if he is going to die any time soon. It is so frustrating that he is still alive after a cancer diagnosis a year ago that was supposed to take him then. If he was to retire, I’d want him to live forever or as long as his Mom who just turned 106 years old in February. He has longevity in his family obviously.
