I’m definitely interested, in fact I’ve been doing the same thing only focusing on copywriting and portrait painting. I am also a programmer fairly strong in Javascript and html. Can definitely do great web designs with some of the existing tools.
It takes very dollar of my V.A. disability to live and by the middle of the month ... poof! It’s all gone. Just hanging on by the skin of our teeth. Besides freelancing, has anyone sold items by drop-shipping where you’re not risking your money?
I’d like to be included, thanks.
I’m interested. Let me know if it is legit. I’m retiring March 2019 and will HAVE to work part-time somewhere. I have great desktop publishing skills, database, and most software. Currently am a Training Specialist. Would love to make enough to work from home. Sick of corporate world...lol. Retiring at 64 1/2 due to health issues, but could work from home easily. I’m thinking I may have to work retail 2-3 days a week to make ends meet. My job now is high stress. Retail seems like a vacation...and yes, I did a lot of retail in my younger years.
Good luck to you!
Advice from a seasoned freelancer: Start out bidding pretty low, until you get a few jobs under your belt. Then bid your rate. Don’t worry about people from India bidding $4.00/hr on jobs. You don’t want to work with the people who will hire them. They are used to treating people like they are worth $4.00 and hour. Communicate. Set realistic deadlines and meet them. Don’t be afraid to say NO. There are some very difficult people to work with out there. Do not audition for work; they are trying to get you to do something for free. Good luck! You can make a decent amount, even a living, as a freelancer.
Hi RR, can u be a little more specific?
I’m not following what type of projects you mean.
I don’t know what VBA means.
I could use a freelancer for some mansonry and roofing work.
To obtain gravitas, incorporate and operate as a corpration
I know this kid that started out freelancing from a website similar to that. He started at 16 and by 21 had built a very successful business designing logos. Not sure where he ended up but made a lot of money in a short time. He was very dedicated and beat doors down to get business. I only need to make a few hundred extra/month. Not expecting to be next Colonel Sanders...lol
Best wishes RR.
If you need/want to split off (from your time) data research, acquisition, organization and analysis, from report creation and VBA, then let me know. We can mutually determine which part is what % of the whole and work something out. It could shorten the time on a gig, which may be appreciated by clients and build a good track record.
I have been an active freelancer.com user and I am a shareholder. Good luck!
Ping.
I have been doing some photography and videography.
This soon-to-be retiree would like to be added to the ping list.
Thanks
I’m interested. Are you going to start a ping list?
What type of free lancing are you talking about?
Add me to the ping list.
I’ve been a freelance copywriter for forty years. I’m still trying to figure out the nonstop evolution of the internet’s tendrils into every aspect of life.
