Having worked for Trump for only a few months during the campaign, I find it a bit sketchy that Manafort would know anything particularly valuable dirt-wise about Trump. Thus, this does not strike me as that potentially fruitful a strategy. It (Mueller’s prosecution) is perfectly able to destroy Manafort’s life, however, nobody should have any delusions in that department.

Funny - the very people who claim torture is morally reprehensible, should be outlawed and doesn’t work anyway see nothing wrong with using the courts and legal threats to try to turn those like Manafort to testify against the objects of their vendettas, like Trump......

Manafort should just say that Trump has nothing to do with what you’re trying me for....

Agreed! If Cohen goes to.prison for any length of time, feel the President will let him serve it!

Some judicial system we have here.

This is the way prosecutors everywhere operate.

Watching and waiting...me, too. Somehow I don’t think that Manafort wants to die young and be a goodlooking corpse!

Oddly, I recall an America where testimony like that was routinely impeached since the witness is clearly being coerced.

Perhaps that is a part of our distant history.

Can anyone please explain to me how a prosecutor can threaten a potential witness with great financial loss, or even imprisonment, and then, offering a deal to avoid those things if he provides certain testimony, how exactly is that not bribing a witness?

Testify to what Alan?

Sorry Alan but I'm beginning to think you're as much a lunatic as Mueller and everyone else with a law degree.

Manafort sticks to his plan, Trump pardons him, heads explode.

I thought this was obvious for some time.

I think the plan is for Mueller to find something/anything against President Trump and then find that President Trump has obstructed justice.

Mueller has to do this before the mid-term elections in order to help the Dems take the House. And if the Dims control the House then they will impeach President Trump sometime next year so that President Trump won’t run for reelection. I’ve thought that has been the plan all along.

Also, there are some GOPe swamp creatures like Romney and Paul Ryan who are hoping this happens so they can run for President in 2020.

The key is for the Dims to take the House. Then everything will fall into place.

I doubt Manafort is going to roll over on Trump by spewing forth some phony sandal. Even if Mueller wraps some dastardly deed on Manafort, sends him to the slam, etc. Trump could easily pardon him (Manafort) anyway. When will Mueller and his sleazy bastards start addressing their attention towards Hitlary and stop wasting time.

I would consider pardoning him even if he did it - because his rights have been trampled, and he has been denied due process. Mueller is the one who must be punished for abuse under the cover of law.

Trump had better start caring about the Constitutional rights of American citizens. Politics is not the be-all and end-all. Caputo said he would never work for another Republican campaign - and I do not blame him one little bit.

Never. They were part of her cabal. They are covering for her - and their - crimes first, and trying to get Trump second.
