It may seem like just elaborate word games. But the insistence that misalignment of physical sex and gender allows SRS to be declared “medically necessary”, thus requiring insurance companies and Medicaid, Medicare, VA/DoD, and who knows, S-CHIP eventually probably, to reimburse the surgery.
This isn’t fair. I have legit medical issues that affect my quality of life but my insurance through my job of over 20 years will not cover the needed medications so I have to do without.
