“Any reason in particular you air brush history like a good Bolshevik? “

Hey! Lookie there!

The disgraced Neoconservatives have graduated from the timeworn “Putinista” charge to “Bolshevik”!

I suspect it’s their CFR “scholars” that are feeding them new words.

But, alas, they’re as funny as they ever were.

LOL. If the cause of Russia invading Crimea was just there would be no reason to air brush history. If the Putin’s case for Crimea was as you say there would have be no need to take the Crimean parliament at gun point with Russians from Moscow.

When Democrats use your “logic” to eject ICE from California I will LMAO at you naive armchair isolationists.

Crimea and access to the Black Sea has been a Russian project since the 1600’s and indeed has been part of Russia for the last 250 years. So whether as a “negotiating chip” or a bow the the US deep-state, this is a stupid red-line to draw.

The Ukraine pre-2014 was a failed, still-born state. Whether due to Russian meddling, EU meddling, US meddling Soros games, or simply the weight of history, its politicians were not so much interested in establishing a functioning, truly independent state, as much as they were interested in looting the place. They had 25 years to make a start, and they failed. That’s something no American politican can fix.

Obama and his clique pushed the Ukraine over the edge. They placed an asinine and ill-considered, long-shot bet that when they promoted the Euromaidan Protests and the Ukraine Revolution that this fragile government and people wouldn’t fall into a proxy civil war and that Russia would not respond. Now the Ukraine is broken - forever. Crimea and the Donetsk and Luhansk are never coming back. Perhaps with their rump remaining, Ukrainians will be motivated to form a truly politically and culturally independent country. I don’t know - perhaps that is part of US strategy.

But for Trump to simply take on the burden of the wreck caused by Obama is simply not very smart for him, or for the USA.
