"Man A acts in self defense and stops the threat"

Here's the problem. The threat doesn't appear to be a deadly one. They guy was shoved to the ground, after which nothing else happened, and the shover backed off when the gun was pulled. It appears that showing the gun ended the non-deadly threat. Shooting it is going to be hard to cast as self-defense. I predict he gets charged.

Yes, I agree. Charge him and let him explain. If the assault was over, wrong to then shoot the guy.

I’m seeing it the same way. It seems pretty obvious from the tape that he didn’t have to shoot the guy. But I will also say that once you put your hands on another man in violence, you are taking a risk with your life.
