Same here. We need people like him, warts and all. Who else has the guts to try for the impossible. As much as I don't like electric cars (because I believe gasoline-fueled cars are a proven technology), people do love their Teslas, and it has glowing reviews versus the crappy electrics other makers offer. So more power to him, and I hope he succeeds where others fail.

I think he’s going the path of Howard Hughes. In the end, he will retreat back. The Tesla idea is probably a decade ahead of it’s time.

But you have not been doing your due diligence if you think the Teslas are very good. I’ve been following in a number of different information venues the car company for some time. The quality problems are quite extensive and there is plenty of customer dissatisfaction. Horrendously expensive replacement parts that don’t fit, ridiculously long service times, and quite a bit more than that.
