Makes no sense to have RNC convention in a city that hates your party; there will be riots, roadblocks, probably the police will listen to the mayor to step down, don’t protect the RNC folks,etc.
I don’t care if the bid was cheaper, why not choose a red state city?

All of the big cities are blue man. At least everything around clt - which is over Half the area pop is red
