Lots of room for operator error in very bad conditions. If the boat is sound that points to a mistake by driver. My method is nose to the wind with enough power to keep it there and try to ride it out. If I can get to a sheltered area fine. Never tried to run for it. So far it has worked but I aint discounting luck and the all mighty. Ive also never had 30 other people on board.
I’m thinking operator error.
