On FOX, Cavuto just went on a full out RANT against Trump. Said if he wanted to drain the swamp, he should quit throwing mud. Hey, Neil, did CNN and the DNC just buy you a beach front weekend house?
It’s not just Cavuto but Hunstman, Shep and other FOX Trump haters. They’re showing their true colors today. Good. Now we know for certain.
Trump went over there to have an understanding with Putin. A mission of peace. Not to start WWIII. Heck, even Geraldo understands that.
Cavuto makes my stomach turn.
First of all, Trump's first rule of negotiating is "do not humiliate the person you are negotiating with in public."
That way, you only make an enemy...not someone with whom you can negotiate.
I can't think of any foreign leader that Trump has humiliated or been rough on in a public presser.
That just doesn't work.
He has however been rough in private with several leaders and I don't think Putin was any exception (ask Theresa May about that tactic).
Trump knows what he's doing and the public be damned. He is results oriented...not PR oriented.
We can be sure that Trump gave Putin the business end of his demands in private. That is how he operates.
