Zia Zafar is the California man who shot, and tried to kill, a US diplomat in Mexico last year. Zafar, a 32-year-old US citizen, put on a wig and glasses before he stalked, and eventually shot, the vice consul at the US Consulate in Guadalajara. The consul, Christopher Ashcraft, survived the attack, which happened outside the parking lot of a gym last January.

Evidently, he said he shot the US diplomat (who now has a bullet in his spine) because he represented the United States and it seems that this was all over a dispute about Zafar's visa. The entire crime was caught on camera and he pleaded guilty which was reported yesterday by the DOJ website.
A denied visa for whom? Zafar was a US citizen attending UAG on a student visa from the Mexican government. He didn't personally need a visa from the US government.
Zia Zafar was from India originally. I wonder what his religious affiliation could be? (Zafar doesn't sound like a Hindu name.)
There is definitely a fair amount of BS in the air with this guy. It sounds like he is claiming to have done this out of some political motivation but it looks like there may be personal motivations, like that he seems to be a loser that not even the terrorists will claim.
I never saw this when it occurred, not even on FR.
Little wonder the Goebbelsmedia didn’t carry the story, too destructive of the Open Borders propaganda line.
Definitely gives the globalist narrative big black eyes on a couple of fronts. It also is a feel-good story for Mexican law enforcement officers (who really do have to be among the bravest in the world).
Even the non-Narco politicos are endangered. One hundred and sixty have been assassinated in the last ten months. Too bad it isn’t another set of politicians.
I’m no fan of a lot (most) politicians, but I don’t want anyone to be murdered. It would be nice if they would stop over regarding the input of special interest groups (that deliver plenty of unsolicited feedback) and if they would start doing the job of finding out how their constituents want them to vote.
