I still think it would be best to divide Ukraine into two and allow Western Ukraine to join NATO and leave the Eastern Half for Russia.
The thorn would be what to do with Kiev.
I think the western side can probably keep Kiev. The problem for them will be that the vast majority of the historical industrial capacity is in the east.
