I’m not one of the picky people here so forgive me.
The overall Catholic vote for Trump in 2016 was 52%.

A certain number of Catholics are black and the blacks everywhere were in the upper 90% range for Hillary so I didn’t find a breakdown of non-black Catholics for Trump.

Catholics apparently are not one issue opponents of abortion (as the 81% white evangelicals for Trump largely are.) Jews still vote Dem (24% Trump) and do not normally care if Israel is preserved or (God forbid) wiped out.

If they were really a "teacher's union" they would be concerned with education and union issues only.

But they are involved in gun control and reproductive rights, etc. because, in actuality, they are a wing of the Democratic Party and should be held to the restrictions that limit the activities of such an entity.

They only care about feathering the nests of the union leadership. If the leadership is dominated by young teachers there will be huge “step” increases in the contracts and almost nothing for those at the top of the scale.

And specialized subjects like foreign languages, music and the arts, library....no backing whatsoever.
