3h...Pres Trump has arrived via Marine One at Chequers, the Prime Minister's country house in Buckinghamshire, England, NW of London, for talks and working lunch with @theresa_may. They'll also have a joint press conference at 845AM/ET. Location is out of reach to most protestors.

"It's nice to see you again," Pres Trump heard telling @theresa_may as he arrived at Chequers for their talks. They saw each other last night at the extravagant gala in Pres and Mrs Trump's honor at the opulent @BlenheimPalace, also outside London, away from protests.

3h...Pres Trump began his day visiting Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, a training facility for @BritishArmy officers. He was to have seen a joint forces military demonstration.

PM @theresa_may at the door to Chequers to greet Pres Trump on his arrival at the 16th century manor house, used by British Prime Ministers the way American Presidents use Camp David.

"It's never been more united," said Pres Trump of the US-UK relationship. Neither leader commented on @POTUS criticism of PM's handling of Brexit, but at the start of their talks today, he cited last night's dinner, "We talked for an hour & a half and it was really something.”

Mark Knoller..."The relationship is very very strong," Pres Trump said of US-UK ties, at the start of talks with @theresa_may. Neither spoke of Trump's criticism of May in his @TheSun interview. Of the US-UK "special relationship," the PM said it's "great."

MK(CBS)...Pres Trump's joint news conference with PM May is being staged outdoors on the grounds of Chequers. His first news conference as president, was his joint Q&A session with Prime Minister May, in the East Room on Jan 27 2017.

It was at that first Trump news conference in Jan 2017 that PM May said she extended an invitation from The Queen to Pres Trump to make a State Visit later in 2017, which never happened. And this current visit was downgraded from State Visit.

In opening statement and joint news conference, @theresa_may says UK-US security relations are saving lives in both countries and around the world. She says that partnership is set to grow.

Pres Trump says talks with PM May celebrate the "special relationship" between the US and UK. Calls it "a bond like no other," Says it's indispensable to the cause of liberty, justice and peace.

Pres raises Brexit. Offering a different view from criticism in an interview, he tells PM May says he doesn't know what you're going to do, "but whatever you do is okay with me." He said, "just make sure we can trade together, that’s all that matters."

In response to first press question, Pres Trump denies criticizing PM May in his interview with @TheSun. Called it "fake news." Again said whatever decision PM makes, "the only thing I ask of Theresa is that we can trade.”

NIKK...amazing move by our President. He has a News Paper in England tell the truth about trade/EU/Brexit...then tells May and the country he's willing to trade but its up to MAY.....CHESS and he's several moves ahead of his opponent. Brilliant!
