Excalibur - that was the expensive brand that made me think dehydrators were expensive.

i’m wondering if i would use it enough. but i thought that about the food saver and i love that thing. perhaps i ‘need’ one (vs want)

Actually, our first dehydrator was a much less expensive one and it died on us. Same thing happened with one that our friend bought. We got the 9-tray Excalibur and never looked back. Mr. Sg makes jerky for his friends and for the dogs and cats. The butcher slices London broil very thinly and seasons it for the humans and not for the non-humans. Everybody loves it.
Thinking about zucchini—have you ever had it breaded, deep-fried and served with ranch dressing? We had an abundance of zukes one year and all of us grooved on it that summer. It’s heavenly!
