Thank you so much for posting.

Who is the lady in pink. My first guess is Margaret. Not even sure if she is alive. Princess Margaret died in 2002. My best guess is that it may be Princess Alexandra, Lady Ogilvy, a cousin of the Queen, who is also related to Prince Philip. Here is Lady Olgivy in blue some years ago, for comparison.
Whoever she is, she appeared to be thrilled to meet Donald Trump as the Queen introduced them outside at the entrance to the castle.

What did Acosta do this time? I wish he was taken hostage in some horrible place, let him learn to appreciate this country and beg the President to bring him home.

Thank you. I don’t know yet if they were able to save his knee but I feel pretty positive about it. Thank you all for your prayers.

Some snarky Englishman that Martha interviewed said that Phillip not showing up was meant as a slight to the Trumps, that the Royals like the Obummers much better.Based on many photos I have seen of Prince Philip interacting with the Obamas, I do not believe this person's made-up opinion. Prince Philip recently turned 97 years old. He had a hip replacement surgery in April, and the media were raving about how he managed to walk into the church at Harry's wedding in late May. It was 81 degrees Farenheit that day, and no one can blame him for not wanting to stand as the Queen did for a military review, which he would have felt obliged to do, as a former Colonel of the Grenadier Guards.

Talk about aging badly. I can hardly believe it. She seems grimly determined to look dowdy; some sort of self-imposed rigor, like people who take cold showers or believe in regular high colonic enemas.

I'm pretty sure you included this wonderfully jolly get-together:

Thanks for those great fashion shots of Melania. Here are two of my very favorites. First, a red coat by Alice Roi:
The color and flared skirt style on her are fantastic. She wore an even more vibrant red Dior suit to visit the Macrons in Paris:
Here she is on the campaign trail with Donald in 2016. IIRC, it was the day she offered the Lord's Prayer at the opening of the rally:

Sarah Sanders having Tea with Princess AnneNope; if you mean the lady in pink, who is not Princess Anne.
I finally found out who that lady in pink was, according to People magazine:
The Queen halted at the Sovereigns entrance to introduce President Donald Trump to one of her ladies-in-waiting, who was born in America. The Countess of Airlie was born in Newport, New Jersey, in 1933.
Her name is
Virginia Fortune Ryan Ogilvy, and she married David Ogilvy, Earl of Airlie. She was appointed lady-in-waiting to Elizabeth II in 1973, and has
accompanied the Queen when Elizabeth has visited the U.S., including a visit to the George W. Bush White House. She is 85 years old and is the mother of six sons and daughters.
The earlier lady I posted about was the wrong Ogilvy I'm trying to work that outI think the two ladies are sisters-in-law, married to Ogilvy brothers.

Viktor Knavs speaks Slovenian and some English. The only Trump family member who speaks any Russian is Ivana, the mother of Don Jr, Ivanka and Eric. That would be a hoot! But noooooooo!

The woman in pink is not Princess Alexandra.
She is the Queens lady in waiting. Her name is Fortune Fitzroy, and she is the Dowager Duchess of Grafton.

The woman in pink is not Princess Alexandra. She is the Queens lady in waiting. Her name is Fortune Fitzroy, and she is the Dowager Duchess of Grafton. We are both wrong; but I did work it out upthread at post 2432.
Fortune Fitzroy is not the woman identified by the People magazine reporter linked in post 2432; rather it is another lady-in-waiting, Virginia Fortune Ryan Ogilvy, Countess of Airlie. No wonder we were confused. I went for the wrong Ogilvy, and you went for the wrong Fortune. See the links at 2432 above.
Countess of Grafton was born in England. Countess of Airlie was born in America, and apparently has been used by the Queen to liaise with Americans on many occasions.

Maybe she was the Trump that colluded with the Russians. ,lolLOL! Can't tell the players without a scorecard here. In doing the research about languages, I learned that Ivana raised Don Jr to speak Czech, her native language, and he can still speak it. Wonder if they have planted a Trump hotel or golf course over there?
