I was a kid during the Carter years. I remember Carter as a folksy, likeable guy. “Peanut Farmer” always made me laugh. The nightly news was usually not very happy but Saturday Night Live was funny. A term that often comes up concerning the Carter Administration and America in the late 70’s is malaise. The good news is that this brought us Reagan in ‘80 and the rest is history. President Ronald Reagan shaped who I am as a Conservative today. I hope President Trump is making this same impact on the subsequent generations.
During his Presidency Carter fell for the lefty lie that we couldn’t do anything about high oil prices so we needed to put on more sweaters in the winter.
Now he has fallen for another lefty lie and he may need more than sweaters to help him now...
