Christ Church Cathedral put up the display at their lawn on Monument Circle overnight. It shows statues of Mary, Joseph and Jesus in a cage.
“On our lawn tonight we placed The Holy Family…in #ICE detention,” the church wrote on its Twitter page.
The display has a sign saying #EveryFamilyIsHoly and its Spanish equivalent, #CadaFamiliaEsSagrada.
I’m calling bullcrap. It’s an Episcopal church/cathedral. Putting Jesus, Mary and Joseph in a cage was the only way they could keep them from dee dee maoing to an actual Christian church.
Yes. It was like going across state lines most likely.
The Holy Family were not illegal aliens and when Jesus was born they were complying with a government decree to register as citizens.

BUT...if you wanted to make it a fair and complete representation, you’d wrap then in tinfoil like Barack Obama did when he was detaining illegal invaders.
Liberals know the Bible about as well as they know the constitution.
I didn’t realize that Mary and Joseph were sneaking across the border in order to collect welfare, and get free health care. That must of been in the new version of the Bible.

Undoubtably, churches that advocate for immigrants, for abortion, for gays and against our values should be fined, taxed and closed down by the federal government.

That’s probably the one if it’s on Town East Blvd. When Saddam was captured, they had a sign that said, “Jesus’ spider hole was a manger.” I don’t even know what that is supposed to mean, but equating Saddam to Jesus is pretty bizarre.

Ideally, it would have a picture of the family in a cage and the words would say something like “Episcopalians imprison Holy Family to prevent escape to Christian Church” .
And , fwiw, I’m a cradle Episcopalian who is no longer observant.

Also,this is another reason I support a total shutdown of immigration to America, both illegal and legal. Spend our dollars spent on immigration to here in some other way. We are not helping the world pulling their brightest here as the video explains and I doubt we are helping ourselves.

But your point is well taken - taking the best and brightest from the world is NOT a favor to us or to the world. It’s time for a break - a few decades with NO NEW IMMIGRATION. Time needed to work the magic of assimilation and heal our communities - roads, schools, hospitals etc

In that situation they would have almost unlimited power... same as ‘elites’ in every other hellhole in the world.
Weren’t Mary and Joseph in Bethlehem precisely because they were following the law and showing up for the census? I’m not a biblical scholar like the fine folks at Christ Church Cathedral, so I could be wrong on this.
