I think the position you have taken is unreasonable. I have never met LS personally but I have enjoyed his contributions since the early days.
During the Trump cycle he was relied upon due to media insider connection. Posters often demanded a detailed opinion from him.

After most of his primary and general election predictions proved true then the demands for insider opinions became more strident and LS complied. He gave his opinions. Eventually there were those who disagreed. So what. If he seemed flip or snide in a forum response where have you been the last twenty years on this forum. We all get offended or bump others ourselves.

I disagreed with his predictions on Roy Moore’s Election Day results. I was right and he was wrong. So what.

With the opinions he shares with us he charges zero. Why lambast him. Snort at him, ignore him or applaud but why get nasty —he might take the our side on an issue two years from now. Life is short — forum fellowship is forever.

In case you didn’t know, he has for months.insisted that we all put the obvious nature of the witch Hunt of Trump aside and instead fully trust Robert Mueller, making up crackpot theories that Mueller is actually investigating Hillary, and insulting anyone who disagreed. That lunacy gave rise to others here and elsewhere who fell for his snake oil and perpetuated the lie. He deserves to be called out for his outrageous actions, but as you can see he has no shame or guilt in the least. If you want to let him slide then that is up to you, but what he has done has crossed a serious line in my opinion. It’s one thing to be wrong 90% of the time, but to continually comfort the enemy and completely disrupt our attempts to properly analyze their actions, while launching insults and childish names as a major part of his act, are things that shoulddn’t be tolerated in my opinion. Thankfully most everyone just ignores him now, but he needs to know we haven’t forgotten.
