People vote their pocket books. The Dems used to have a firm grasp on that simple but powerful concept . They believed in paying off their rank and file constituents with various benefit programs such a Medicare or the SSA programs that chiefly rewarded the lower middle class/working class. These are the people the Dems are walking away from. The Party of Andrew Jackson and FDR has become the Party of BHO and Pelosi and has no time for the old party base. The Dem strategists can't figure out why the defections as they concentrate on illegals and Millennial snowflakes.

Yet Obama was reelected in 2012, despite have a horrible economic record. Course I blame the Republican Establishment candidate Mitt Romney and his loser sidekick Paul Ryan.
