That’s correct.
I remember being astounded when Tim Russert was asserting about how Obama was going to be the nominee. True but he sounded like he drank the koolaid. I guess I should not have been surprised.
Then, one night on the news, they were doing a remote with him and I noticed he was as white as a sheet. I’m not joking or making this up. It really struck me how white he was.
He was gone not long after that. I once asked Nachum if he considered doing a list of famous people gone after supporting Obama. He said he’d consider it. Now we no longer have Nachum or his work. Too bad.
I always wanted to believe that Tim Russert was the last good one in MSM TV news. But he was also the first talking head or higher I heard referring to the political left as the blue states and the political right as the red states.
Prior to that, I thought I had heard it the other way around. That anything socialist, communist or even leaning left was red, probably due to international standard where navigation lights on a ships or aircrafts port/left are red and lights on the starboard/right are green. Red = Left.
Or even more likely, red as in the socialist/communist hue of commie red, as in Id rather be dead than red on the head, a phrase I heard young, as a little kid in the 60s.
Now its the other way around. Which still puzzles and bugs me as yet another, but early case of: up is down, down is up, right is wrong, wrong is right, etc.
