I agree.

We stopped being a republic when that change happened.

We really need to change it back.

Senators should be accountable to our state houses.

Yup the 17th amendment changed all that. What I don’t get is why no term limits? that seems to run against the grain of the funding fathers who were very concerned with the concentration of power!
