“Being a Catholic is she obligated to follow the pope’s ideas on immigration?”
Many American Catholics are completely fed up with the phony pope and don’t look up to him.
The current pope, like all before him is just another man. Period. He has no special channel or connection to God than you or I do. To say otherwise completely obliterates one of the core tenets of Christianity that Christ died on the Cross for our sins and in doing so the veil was torn removing all barriers between God and man, thereby enabling each and every one of us to enter into a relationship directly with God our Father.
What's happening is that because of this pope, more and more catholics are figuring exactly that out and IMO that's a good thing.
