“If Willet was appointed and approved, I bet Roberts would move to the left, becoming the new Anthony Kennedy v 2.0.”
Actually Roberts is already there. His twisted logic saved Obongo care and he voted to stop AZ from defending her borders. I still beleive he was blackmailed.
Hell yes he was blackmailed, from two different angles.
It made sense to me. The government shouldn't be marrying anyone, only granting legal rights. Let Churches and social organizations do the marrying, and have a legal document to create the civil union.
Then, gays got that, and radicals went nuts with their actual agenda which is destroying family and normal social order.
They need to be strict Constitutionalists, it is that simple.
Liberals have nothing to say about it
I’m glad he is a federal judge now. For the moment I’d rather Trump chose Amy.
They’ll have plenty to say....but they can’t DO anyth ing about it.
I didn’t have a problem either until they started ramming gayness in our schools starting at elementary grades. Now it’s Transexuals and LGBTXYZMMOLP.
I remember when the gays said just stay out of our bedroom. Ok. But now it’s everywhere TV, schools, parades, etc.

That is why I hopes he picks the woman who just got approved for a Federal court. Dems ok’d her so if they try and say no now, it looks bad on them. Plus Collins and Mutrowski would have hard time not voting for her. We need it done quickly.
The recently intensified hysteria on the left helped to assure confirmation of the President’s next choice for the Supreme Court. Good roots in the word, hysteria.
;-)
If you’re correct, that getting it done asap, I bet he goes with whoever Yertle wants. Next vacancy will allow him more flexibility, esp if midterms go well for Rs.
Now some of you know why I wrote comment #2.
“Feels good man!”
;-D
I’ve attended social gatherings in Austin where Don Willet attended. I never knew who he was at the time and never talked to him.
One of our best friends personally knows Willet. The friend is very active in Rep affairs in Texas state government. They think Willet will be a great candidate for the USSC.
Willet is a conservative Republican.
Looks like the perfect replacement. ....he won’t last a week. Libs won’t have him.
Looks like classic ‘dad humor’ to me:
The guy has my attention.
When parsing the menu at the new restaurant, the wife and I have a guideline that says oh, that item has bacon, must be good!
Both kids?
Three Democrats voted to confirm President Trump’s last nominee for the Supreme Court: Joe Manchin, Joe Donnelly and Heidi Heitkamp. Their states clearly supported Trump’s election to the presidency, so they’ll be under heavy pressure again to vote in his favor.
Gorsuch also supported the recent ruling in favor of the baker in Colorado. The “in-your-face,” “outright” freaks of politics are on the fringe—not conservatives.
