I’m referring to them targeting personal homes way out in rural areas. That’s what I’d do with a gang of 6-10 heavily armed thugs because I’d be smart enough to know that the urban areas are too much trouble with all of the competition.
Then 3-5 in the gang by the next armed home. Maybe the 2 - 4 remaining, having aroused the neighbors will have a fun time trying to leave.
Even the senior citizen condo complex where I live wouldn't be safe for them. In our cul-de-sac there are 5 out of 10 homes with older vets who wouldn't hesitate to kill another Commie.
That will not play out exactly the way you would think it would. If you are really talking about "way out in rural areas" and not just a few miles from a city. My advice is don't try that; folks there are a wee bit difficult when threatened.
Two different examples of “rural ‘Murica”:
In 1980, I worked for the census and every day, the enumerators tasked with counting the heads of my locals would come back to the office, screaming “WTF is WRONG with you people?”
They’d show up and be run off by porch dogs and shotguns.
I just laughed and said “They doan lak nobody fok wid dem” [”Southern Comfort” style]
Hell, they’re my people and *I* wouldn’t go tramping up on their property, uninvited.
Several years ago, outlanders were running a burglary scam.
They’d knock on doors and if somebody answered, they’d ask if so-and-so lived there, using a name they knew was not likely to be living here.
If no one answered the door, they robbed the place good.
Word got around and without any us of actually communicating it, ALL of us, in a hive-mind way, decided to just “not answer the door” if a stranger knocked.
We would wait for them inside, instead.
A week went by and they were caught by an old hillbilly who was sitting in his living room rocking chair, shotgun on his lap.
They were crying by the time the LEO came and “rescued” them.
I reckon a third example will count, too.
When the DC snipers were doing their thing and Chief Moose was still hunting for the honkies in that white van, ALL of us were watching the perimeters of the woods for “people who did not fit in”.
We just knew they were headed this way, eventually.
Turns out we were right, and several local places were listed as targets on their laptop.
A TN trucker spotted them in the rest stop on South Mountain and they got caught.
Former FReeper Zygoat noticed the commotion and I read his account as it went down, “live”.
Out here, things will be...weird for potential urbanite leftist mobs, at least.
The only ones I worry about are the ones who exist alongside me and are just as hillbilly as I am.
