I will confess I was not aware that Cooper was the inventor of the handheld handset. My claim that Jews invented the cell phone relates more to the scheme where individual cells could pass a call off from one cell to another seamlessly. No doubt the invention of the small handset was important in the uptake of the product in general. Equally important, I would say, is the notion that a truly portable cellphone moving from one cell coverage area to another could retain connectivity without dropping the call.
