Were people allowed to eat at Japanese or German restaurants during World War II? But I guess Chinese laundries would have been permitted.

The “proud” idiocy of NPR just boggles the mind. How such a stupid group could be given such financial aid is beyond logic.
The United States of America is actually FED and kept alive by the constant consumption of FOREIGN FOOD.
Americans fill CHINESE, JAPANESE, THAI, KOREAN, ITALIAN, GREEK, GERMAN, SWEDISH, RUSSIAN and even AMERICAN restaurant every day of the year, in addition to my favorite KOSHER delicatessen.
We eat the food we enjoy, no matter where it originated and no matter when it came to this country with historic immigration.
The fact that NPR (No Prevailing Rationale) wants to make food a political statement shows it’s time is past.
