Her husband is a ‘ships captain’ - she had enough money to pay people smugglers six thousand dollars TWICE. She expected to get a better-paying job in the US...and left her other daughters behind. He didn’t know she was leaving Honduras for the second time. She crossed the Rio Grande in an inflatable boat...with a toddler.

She sounds like an irresponsible idiot, and who was going to look after her child while she went to work?

Someone is persuading these stupid people to leave their home countries. Just what are they being promised..and who is making the promises?

I’d guess that the Father is lying about some of what he says as well (I didn’t know anything, I just turned around and she was gone, with 1/4 of the kids). He is likely in on a shared fraudulent racket, and would have come along after she was set up on food stamps in a free apartment somewhere. He still had some kids to bring as his free pass.

A bunch of Leftist organizations, which are always meeting with and talking with the people in Leftist political parties, have long discussed the migration strategy to gain control of wealthy countries. Some strategy think tank types (notably in Soros groups) and political operatives (notably in the Obama Administration) must have fleshed out a strategy and gotten it approved, because a lot of coordinated activity went on to create and sustain this flow.

The people are promised a better life, a full suite of welfare benefits, and all kinds of better things (medical care, education for the kids, entertainment). They get that message from many different ways, like friends/family who have already gone, movies and TV, traffickers, Leftist Politicians (both ours and theirs), in their local news, and from organizations dedicated to just this purpose - immigrant advocacy groups or refugee relief organizations or such.
