President Trump on Friday hit back against the news media for not covering what he called “permanent separations,” referring to victims who were killed in the United States by undocumented immigrants.
“These are the American citizens permanently separated from their loved ones. The word you have to think about is 'permanently,'" Trump said at an immigration event at the White House. "You hear the other side, you never hear this side."
Friday's event featured testimony from family members whose relatives were killed by undocumented immigrants. They stood on the stage holding up pictures of their loved ones, which appeared to be signed by Trump, and shared their stories.
"These are the stories that the Democrats and people who are weak on immigration, they don't want to discuss," Trump said. "No major networks sent cameras to their homes or displayed the images of their incredible loved ones across the nightly news."
"They don't talk about the death and destruction caused by people who shouldn't be here," Trump added.
The event comes as the Trump administration has faced intense outrage and wall-to-wall media coverage for it’s “zero tolerance” immigration policy, which has led thousands of immigrant children to be separated from their parents at the border while the adults face prosecution.

This was one of the most difficult things I have ever watched. The MSM fawning over illegals and ignoring American citizens. What is wrong with them? How can they look themselves in the eye? Who raised them?
Democrats pretend to care so much for illegals yet would rip a baby from the womb with their bare hand if they could.

The President’s news conference with the Angel Parents today was very moving. The shocking statistic cited by a grief-stricken father, whose son was permanently separated from him by an illegal alien murderer, is that 43,000 Americans have died at the hands of illegals since 9/11. That is a far higher death toll than we have suffered in our wars in the Middle East. How shameful that our politicians and the Leftist media have covered up this terrible death toll.

Fake news media and the Democrats are ignoring it because they have no defense to mount for criminal illegal aliens.
Unlike with illegal kids, there’s no public sympathy for them. The President needed to shift the debate.
As a result, the fake outrage over family separations will go away because neither the media or the Democrats want to face the other side of the issue.

In the 1921 book “Public Opinion” by Walter Lippmann the author points out that people with a different view literally see different facts. A communist looks at laborer’s and sees slaves while the conservative looks at men who have freely contracted at a take-it-or-leave-it agreed wage. They are both looking at the same thing. BTW, its free as an audio book and it seems as relevant as though it was published yesterday.

This is the other thread I referred to and suggested phone calls and emails be sent to congresscritters and the president regarding the many tragedies mentioned. I don’t know why I and maybe others don’t give the president or his aides credit for already being ahead on stuff like this. Guess the reason is because we haven’t seen anything like this president tackling issues as soon as they arise! So glad to see him tackling it today...
