Nearly 500 migrant children of the more than 2,000 who were separated from their parents at the U.S.Mexico border have been reunited since May, a senior Trump administration official told the Associated Press.
The official told the news agency that those children were separated from their families because of President Trumps zero tolerance policy.
The measure, which was first announced in April, seeks to aggressively prosecute any adult crossing the southern border illegally. The policy drew widespread, bipartisan condemnation for resulting in the separation of thousands of migrant children from their parents.
Upon announcing the Trump administration policy, Attorney General Jeff Sessions said the practice was meant to help deter illegal immigration. The Department of Homeland Security, and Sessions, later said the policy was not intended for deterrence.
After facing intense criticism for his administration's policy, Trump moved to end migrant family separations by signing an executive order on Wednesday.
The order, however, did not address the futures of children already separated from their parents.

Reunited. Fine
Now returned.
Good...now send them all the hell back.
The only future any of them deserve is a one way trip back where they came.
The crisis shall never be allowed to waste. America aborts thousands of babies a day, burns them as medical waste or sells the parts like chicken but we have to give a sh*t about illegal alien spawn.
we need to hear : AND WERE PROMPTLY ALL DEPORTED BACK TO MEXICO
