The Justice Department is reviewing the conduct of an employee who helped chase Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen from a Mexican restaurant on Tuesday, but First Amendment scholars say that she may be immune from workplace consequences.
Allison Hrabar, a Justice Department paralegal specialist and member of the Democratic Socialists of America, helped organize a dozen-person DSA-led contingent that chanted shame at Nielsen until she left MXDC Cocina Mexicana.
Hrabar came under intense scrutiny following the downtown D.C. protest, and political opponents demanded that she be fired for protesting Nielsen's role in separating suspected illegal immigrants from their children a policy President Trump partially reversed Wednesday.
Hrabar told the Washignton Examiner that as of about noon Thursday, she had not been disciplined. Asked if she still had a job, Hrabar said in a text message: Yes! Currently at a team lunch."

She’ll be promoted to be Rod Rosenstein’s deputy.
Just because she has a job today means nothing.
Internal review in the government takes a bit.
She shouldn’t just be worried about her job. Attempting to intimidate and harass a Cabinet level officer, not to mention one who is head of the federal police agencies, is really serious. Getting her little butt indicted should be her real concern, her job is already gone.
If Sessions doesn’t have the balls to fire her ass by lunch, that tells us all we need to know.
They can make all the excuses they want, but Fedzilla is nearly immune from lawsuits, and has thousands of pages of policies to hang her with. If she remains, it’s because Sessions is fine with what she did.
Where I am-I may not do a single thing that reflects badly on my employer
Just like all of those others who have been fired/prosecuted/ostracized because they posted opinions to a social media site while on personal time on their own computers? Like those?
What this narcissistic moron did was criminal. She assaulted and harassed a citizen, there is nothing 1st Amendment about what she did.
I heard someone, forget who, criticize her for being so tone deaf with what’s going on.
Her crime? Eating at a Mexican restaurant.
That’s how unhinged the left has become.
Not only is she allegedly a monster running places such as Auschwitz, she also had the audacity,(to liberals) to eat at a Mexican restaurant at a time when border issues are prominent.
I want to know where the Washington, DC police were that evening, because I did not see one LEO in that restaurant. Sickening....fire the “witch” from the DOJ. I respect the privacy of all citizens, no matter who they are. I would never be so rude as to disturb someone who is dining in a public place.
And...the manager of this restaurant should have told those low life scum to leave the premises immediately. Sad!!!
She has nothing to worry about. She works for the swamp. Anyone who could be even remotely involved in disciplining her voted for Hillary Clinton and thinks President Trump belongs in prison.
Shes currently being congratulated by her coworkers and will probably get a promotion.
Move her to the mail room. Why go to all the grief to fire her. Make her actions “career ending!” Then all you get is ABSCAM Union leaders pi$$ing and moaning about something over which they have no control.
But supposedly there were two SS agents there ... who formed a (tiny) human blockade between the screamers and the DHS head.
Well if she was off duty, it’s okay. If she was on duty then yeah, a promotion in her future. DOH-j
She may lose her security clearance.
LOL.
Looks like just another Secular Progressive Capo to me!
Latest I heard is that this scum were outside her house blasting audio of babies crying.
Wonder when this is going to be stopped.
She will become the office's "Milton".
The first amendment does not permit you to harass anyone on private property. She committed a crime of public nuisance. If at any time the secretary was in fear for her safety, then it could be considered an assault. I know if a dozen people came to my table at a restaurant and started yelling threats and obscenities, I would be concerned for my safety.
But nothing will happen because the laws only apply to the right.
