So said President Donald Trump, on issuing his order halting the separation of children from parents caught breaking into the country. Trump’s enemies are celebrating a victory. Yet the issue remains.
Under U.S. law, teenagers and tots cannot be detained for more than 20 days and must be held in the least-restrictive facilities. But if the children cannot be separated from the parents as they await trial, both will have to be released to keep families together.
We are back to “catch and release.”
When that welcome news hits Central America, the migrant stream moving north will become a river that never ceases to flow.
The questions America and the West face might thus be framed:
Is there a liberal, progressive, Christian way to seal a 2,000-mile border, halt millions of migrants from crossing it illegally and send intruders back whence they came? Or does the preservation of Western nations and peoples require measures from which liberal societies today reflexively recoil?
Does the survival of the West as a civilization require a ruthlessness the West no longer possess?
Consider what our fathers did to build this country.

It is common sense. Most countries do exactly the same thing, protect their borders, well, except for shit for brains Europe.

That’s an interesting concept. One of my econ profs addressed the poverty in third world countries this way: Is it moral to feed a million starving people so that, in ten years, you have ten million starving people? And who would have thought that the ten million would invade our country and by their very existence destroy the fabric of our society?

I admit freely that it isn't the sort of thing I thought they could sell, but in fact Sweden is lost and certain other countries seem determinedly oblivious. And far from pausing for reconsideration, the support for this radical course of action has gone beyond reason and into the realm of utter hysteria. Which, even for someone who is only trying to make sense of it all, is a huge red flag.

Yes. Electing Trump was our first shot fired.
We haven’t even had 65% eligible voter turnout for presidential elections since 1908. The eligible voters who choose not participate has outnumbered any political party for 100+ years, and most of the time it was WAY less than 65% turnout. This isn’t a sign the country in general cares about anything that much, at least in my opinion.

I’m an old man, infirmed, no family so nothing to lose. More than willing to fight should it come my way. But that doesn’t mean squat.
The question is, “Has the WEST the will to survive?” Well, let’s look at the West. Europe is gone already, the Canucks are overrun with liberals (couldn’t survive without us anyway) and then there is DC. President Trump is doing his damnedest, but he is just one man. Younger than me but still up there in years, taking on the army of politicians and bureaucrats that comprise the government as well as the media and the asswipes that agree with them. So, all in all, I say the West does NOT have the will to survive.
The boomerang effect will be brutal.
Never in mankind’s history has an entire civilization gone down without a fight. And a fight there will be.
The only question is what will spark the conflagration?
Poland and Hungary will hold for a while, Italy is a basket case and GB, Brexit or not is rotting quickly from the inside.

The only problem is education. Blame the media and public education. Most people, until more recently, haven’t been aware of what’s happening to the country.
The immigration problem has been presented as: either you’re a good guy and “support Immigration,” or you’re a bad guy and want the law to be upheld.
But as more find out the truth, you’ll see the will to survive emerge. I would have expected you to understand this.
Yep. One scenario that I thought perfectly silly but now seems not unlikely at all is a sort of decapitation - pun intended - on the order of the French Revolution but on an international scale. The aristocracy has become exigent and irrelevant, and that's not a good place to be.
Western civilization may survive in Eastern Europe, but western Europe has already submitted to Islam.
The USA is still contested.
If we fail to halt the illegal alien inundation, we will fall.
