(Reuters) - Immigrant children are being routinely and forcibly given a range of psychotropic drugs at U.S. government-funded youth shelters to manage their trauma after being detained and in some cases separated from parents, according to a lawsuit.
Children held at facilities such as the Shiloh Treatment Center in Texas are almost certain to be administered the drugs, irrespective of their condition, and without their parents' consent, according to the lawsuit filed by the Los Angeles-based Center for Human Rights & Constitutional Law.
The Shiloh center, which specializes in services for children and youths with behavioral and emotional problems, did not respond immediately to a request for comment.
The lawsuit was filed on April 16, days after the introduction of the Trump Administration's "zero tolerance" policy to separate children from parents who crossed the U.S.-Mexico border illegally. Trump abandoned the policy on Wednesday.
"If you’re in Shiloh then it’s almost certain you are on these medications. So if any child were placed in Shiloh after being separated from a parent, then they’re almost certainly on psychotropics," said Carlos Holguin, a lawyer representing the Center for Human Rights & Constitutional Law.
Officials at the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR), which oversees such centers, were not immediately available for comment.

The emphasis should be “according to a lawsuit.” Most lawsuits like this are propaganda or shakedowns. The left has weaponized the law and the judicial system.
Go to any ABA accredited law school (absent a few good ones like Regent, Liberty, and Ave Maria) and you will find law students pumped full of communist ideas from their leftist professors. The law is taught as a means to bring about a revolution and the ultimate destruction of our Republic.
The truth is, anyone can sue anyone for anything. The media trash are taking the lawsuit (which will later be dismissed) and report the claims in the pleading (no matter how absurd) as the truth, solely to generate a headline to feed their rabid base.
The institutions in America really are broken. The press are no longer journalists, but propagandists. Most lawyers are now soldiers for communist revolution.
They ONLY solution is a physical wall that prevents entry. With armed guards atop it.

My daughter fought hard to keep our 7 year old grandson from being tested/diagnosed for autism and the other plethora of things kids get diagnosed for and are then put on a drug regimen for easy control. He's extremely bright and has an active mind...some things take a little longer to break through (mainly because he doesn't find them interesting or important in the big scheme of things) and then they "click" and he goes from being a bit behind to quite a bit ahead of his classmates.
He will learn to adjust instead of being drugged into "adjustment"....
Maybe we should just abort ALL the children that enter illegally into our country.

The difference is that the Parents are sent to a Dr. after being given the choice of drug your kid or keep them at home.
Are there any statistics about how many of the illegal alien children are infected with some form of disease?
I would think that gallons of anti-biotics would be necessary, also.
