"No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States."
Hmmm...I don't see anything in there about tax returns.

One of the first lessons that I learned taking Constitutional Law as an undergraduate is that while the State Governments are technically in charge of all State and Federal elections, the Federal Government actually and absolutely runs the Federal ones, period, full stop. (The Supreme Court determined that "Federal Interest" trumped what was actually written in the US Constitution regarding the States being in charge of elections.)

I guess they can allocate their electoral votes as they deem.
Of course they will get sued and they will lose.

Delaware’s three electoral votes will really hurt when the, “national popular vote” states will all have to give their electoral votes to Mr. Trump.
Canada will have to give Trump their support!

A state has no control of a national election!!! Besides there is no way this stands up in court!!!

Trump should declare Rhode Island a future site for the USA’s nuclear waste repository.
If he dumped all the raw sewage in Providence, no one would notice.
To: SMGFan
4 guaranteed Democrat electoral votes for years to come. Rhode Island hasn't voted for a Republican President since Reagan in 1984. It's not like Trump has a chance there, or that those 3 or 4 votes will make or break him...

Be careful what you wish for. I’m sure there are plenty of Dems with skeletons in their closets.

How about a bill keeping Dems off the ballot, unless they can offer proof of U.S. citizenship?

There is no constitutional requirement to file financial information with any agency when running for a federal office.

The main problem with this is that you don’t actually directly elect a president. You elect electors who cast ballots for president so technically he is not who you are electing.
