In mid 70's, my wife and I went to Mardi Gras in Nawlins...just a few weeks after a Super Bowl was held there. The town was still partying when mardi Gras roll around.

We had a hotel room for 4 days in the French Quarter so no concerns about driving during the entire trip.

I had an older green jacket and drew that symbol on the back...everywhere I went people kept shouting "Hey, Pete!".

In the late ‘70s I painted it on an old Army pea coat I had.
No one shouted “Hey, Pete!” at me though. lol

Sounds like a fun time in Nawlins.
