At the end of the day, Starbucks is a fad whose time is coming to a close. $15 per hour minimum wages in its most lucrative markets are pushing it along to its grave. The politics don’t help but I think the real issue is that people are getting tired of paying Starbucks prices and competition has been tough on them.

And isn’t it poetic justice that this $15 stuff started out in Seattle, birthplace of Shariabucks!

They built one on a corner next to an office building we own about 5 years ago. We had to meet a tenant there to discuss some ongoing business last week. We never go there for coffee, but ended up having to have one for the sake of the meeting. What swill. Just hope the building get’s “repurposed” to something better when SB fails.
