I am unclear on how/why this is happening. Caputo, a very minor player by any measure, was in the news about a month ago having been badly scorched by legal bills coming from, you guessed, a Mueller grilling.
At the time, he was on several TV shows and seemed rather circumspect answering some (not all) questions “on the advice of his lawyer”.
So now, he starts talking again. If it were me and I had just suffered a $200K+ hit in lawyers’ fees, I would be pretty reluctant to poke Mueller with any further sticks.
Same w/Roger Stone. This is brand new, this meeting the two of them are suddenly talking about.
Now if Stone and Caputo knew about this before, they are crazy stupid to suddenly start talking about it now, implying they were silent about it before, while they were being questioned.
If you listen to the interview it will explain how Mr. Caputo was set-up by the FBI.
How would they know about it before if Caputo found out from investigating afterwards that the guy was a plant/informant?
