When the VA and INS deliver good quality care at a lower price per person, then we can discuss national versions.
Dem/leftists know that the more expensive that they can make medical care, the more that ordinary peeps will "need" them. They also know the con game of a "free lunch".
Some folks will get up early and stand in long lines for anything "free", except, and sadly, nothing is free. (You, who have gone to free weekends, having only to sit through a timeshare lecture, raise your hands).
And if offered "free" medical care, lots of ordinary, however ignorant and wayy too trusting, peeps will gladly go along, except, nothing is free, and they will be trading away freedoms and wealth for (you guessed it) standing in long, long, long lines (for nothing).
I learned that some lack the ability to comprehend a simple written statement.
I bet that happens to you a lot.
>>>The first is the moral argument that health care security is a right for all of us<<<
NOPE, try again...
It was supposed to be saving $2,500 a year according to Lord Obama.
Ended up increasing our Health Care Insurance from $800 a Month in December of 2013 to $2,100 a Month today.
Well no. It doesn’t. But then again I don’t assume that if a person posts an article it means they endorse it. I rather think it means they thought it would be informative. Even if the conclusions it draws are not supported by a more thorough examination of the issue.
I trust that is not tooooooooo difficult for you to understand. Shall. I. Try. Typing. Slower.?
It’s clear you misunderstand the intent of FR.
Oh give it a bloody rest. How is posting an article that explains an opposing point of view against the intention of FR. Unless we are told we have to agree with it? Plenty of articles that are not in line with the general philosophy are posted here. And members very ably point out the flaws and present logical, rational, and often scathing rebuttals. It is important that we be well informed about what the Left is peddling.
Liberals never mention the tax burden.
Single payer on the ballot in Colorado in 2016 was rejected by the same voters who went for Hillary Clinton.
Even here the attraction of free health care has limits.
That's YOUR opinion. You're welcome to it. Just stop attacking other FReepers.

And if your "right" is something that you demand someone give you, you're imposing your will on them, and in effect, putting them into indentured servitude. So when Larry says that health care is a right, does he mean that the doctor must treat him at no cost? Or is he just saying that he wants something, and that someone else should pay for it?
I wish I could put my thoughts on this topic even a fraction as well as do Thomas Sowell or Walter Williams.

Hey Larry, the USA HAS a single payer health care system, so why don't you start by examining how it's been doing? It's called the VA system. You know, the VA system, where veterans wait months to even be assigned to a primary care physician? A VA system, where people have died waiting for treatment? I'll tell you what. Fix the VA, and dang it, our veterans DESERVE better than what they've been getting, and once it's working perfectly, we can start talking about moving the rest of health care to a single payer system!
