That set of movies, Fistful of Dollars, For a Few Dollars More, and The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, weren’t meant to be realistic. They went over the top on purpose. It took just enough edge off the violence, which was good because more was always coming.
I prefer Pale Rider and a few months ago finally saw The Outlaw Josey Wales (I was not big into Westerns).
I have seen them several times each now.
